The human mind is like a lake. Every piece of information that is brought to us has consequences. We take up a thought and process it, place it in our memory and look at it with our subconscious. The result of this contemplation by the subconscious is reflected in our consciousness. When someone throws a stone into a lake, the stone falls to the bottom of the lake. Only the waves on the surface bear witness to the stone. So the cause (the stone) falls into the subconsciousness and the effect (the rippled waves) is reflected in the consciousness. When enough stones are gathered at the bottom of the lake, the water of the surface overflows the banks.
If one wants to avoid this, it is necessary to dredge the lake. So we should make an effort to dredge our lake – the subconscious.

Our ideas determine our perception. Our perception is determined by the sensory impressions. Would it not be wise of us to open our consciousness and not follow Jesus‘ disciple Thomas, who did not believe until he saw?
3.
Whoever only „will be“, „is“ not. Our consciousness should be focused on following the recognition in the now. This does not mean detachment from yesterday, today and tomorrow as objects of cognition, but rather a focus on the respective temporary state.
Consequently, we should not deny our past and not hope for our future (especially since we shape our future freely, independently, and true or occurring from our self-experience), but rather be anxious to recognize in the here and now.
This means practically: to avoid hope and fear.
