Dream 2

1.
I am in a big hall in India. It is evening and everywhere are bast mats on which monks have rolled up to sleep. All wear Buddhist yellow and red robes. There are certainly more than 100 monks. The air is pleasantly fresh and not spicy. Through the many, wide unglazed windows I see that it is raining. I recognize one of the monks as the XIV Dalai Lama. I walk towards him, bring my hands together, beaming with joy, for the traditional Tibetan greeting and call out friendly and joyfully: „Du-la Bab!“. The Dalai Lama makes a very angry face and calls me, „You fool! How stupid you are!“ I am affected and I go into myself. I wake up.
2.
I t is afternoon. I am on my way with my study friends to a small, open barbecue hut on a mountain in Hessen. In the hut sits the XIV Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. One of my friends simply says „Hello“ and I say to him: „No, look here, this is how it works:“ and I bring my hands together for the Tibetan greeting and bow deeply. The Dalai Lama doesn’t look at me quite as angrily as in dream one, but still says, „Enough now. Not like this.“ I’m not quite that concerned.
I’m in Egypt. We are walking through the desert of Lower Egypt. I’m with a friend and there are a lot of people walking behind us. It’s a sunny summer day. It’s snowing. I yell, „Look – snow in Egypt!“ We laugh and throw snowballs at each other. Then suddenly we are in an Egyptian police station and a friendly German prosecutor sits opposite me. I laugh and say: „We certainly have a lot to tell each other!“ He smiles through his glasses with funny and serious eyes and says: „Yes, I think so too…“ I awake.
3.
I am in a dimly lit living room. It is night. Some candles are burning on a dresser. In the middle of the chest of drawers is a television set. Suddenly the TV goes on and a bronze statue of Gautama Buddha appears on it. I bring my hands together joyfully and reverently for a greeting and say „Holy!“ Suddenly I am sitting on a sofa on the opposite wall of the chest of drawers. Sitting next to me, also on the sofa, is an approximately 25-year-old man with nickel-rimmed glasses and dark hair of medium length. He has fine features and speaks in the German that 25-year-olds usually speak – freely, loosely and uninhibitedly. Then I recognize him: Gautama is sitting in front of me. He speaks to me in a jovial and relaxed tone, that I should not worry and that I will definitely „manage“ what I have set out to do. I am amazed at his relatively „normal“ worldliness. I am very happy about this encounter. I awaken.
4.
I am in space. Stars are twinkling everywhere. I travel in my body without a space suit. I feel warm, safe and secure. I enjoy the universe. Suddenly I find myself on a planet. I see a barren ice desert, bordered by jagged mountain ranges on my left. I am still not wearing a space suit, but I am inside my physical body. I am on Saturn. An angel is with me – in jeans and T-shirt. I greet him with great joy, as he has been known to me for quite some time. He and I smile. He says that we may go into the cave over in the mountains and make ourselves comfortable. We are in an ice/stone cave. The room is irregularly shaped with smooth, whitish walls. In the middle of the room there is a coffee table and around it the well known brown fabric covered armchairs. There are about eight of us. I find it completely normal to be on Saturn and not need a space suit. I am not surprised about the situation. We all smile more than we talk. I wake up.
